When being quiet becomes a spiritual practice, we realize that it has nothing to do with shutting down, holding back, dissociating, or hiding. It also has nothing to do with allowing injustice or misaligned behaviors, our voice matters. Yet, when our voice emerges out of our quiet space, there is a different energy: our truth is revealed.
The spirit of quietness invites us to be fully present with our senses and tune into everything that is unfolding. It gives us an opportunity to develop our awareness and allows our mind to have a sensory function instead of a dualistic one.
The practice of quietness is not a practice of silence. When we are quiet enough, we can hear our thoughts and emotions and everything around us.
What will it take to speak our truth instead of speaking our minds? If we follow our minds, we become reactive, attached, and noisy. If we follow our truth, we open the door to radical alchemy within us. Our mind is unstable and creates agitation; our truth is unshakable and creates healing. What do you choose?
