We have not learned to feel. Too often, we create a story, to rationalize the nature of our feelings. That story becomes the focus of our experience and our reality. When we focus on the story versus our feelings, we disconnect from ourselves, and we can’t heal. Every time the story is more important than our experience, simply because our mind keeps going in circles with it, we prevent ourselves to grow.
Learning how to feel starts with loving our feelings, good and bad, and staying connected with them. Love teaches us to stay and be present for what arises. Love does not teach us to understand, it teaches us to stay connected with our truth and others’ truth. Our truth does not have anything to do with being right or wrong, our truth relates to our humane experience.
Today let’s choose to be quiet. Let’s choose to love ourselves deeper so that we can embrace the fullness of our feelings.
