Curious

An untrained mind is not curious. An untrained mind loves to anticipate, make assumptions, label, and create a lot of stories. An untrained mind does not know how to stay connected with the physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies. It is not connected to the heart.

When we don’t know how to be curious, we live in fear. Curiosity requires that our heart teach us how to process information through our senses first, then our emotions. As soon as we disconnect from our physical body, we have lost our curiosity and our serenity.

We have many opportunities to leave our connection to our physical bodies, and simultaneously we lose our wisdom. The practice of curiosity has nothing to do with looking for what we already know or believe; it has to do with relaxing and being aware. It is in a way very ecological; we learn to listen through our skin and organs and experience life moment to moment.

As we have been surrounded by many threats, it is easy to disconnect and let our minds run our lives. This is the recipe for more fear and more mental agitations.

Curiosity is at the core of peaceful living. Let’s stay curious together.
