Liberation is not about getting everything we want. Liberation is not about avoiding any rules or institutions. Liberation starts within us. This process is not a path of ease and flow; it can shake us, break us, and challenge us in ways we could not have imagined before.
There will always be beliefs and fears that will entangle us and yet when we commit to our own liberation, our mind connects to its true sattvic nature which is bliss. Often, our mind gets out of balance, and it becomes restless or dull. These two qualities limit us. Truth is the path to our own freedom.
To experience bliss, we need to remember where the seat of the mind is. Our mind originates in our heart not in our head. When we ignore the sensitivity of our mind and its true quality, we are not free. We don’t need to wait for our own physical death to feel freedom as that will not happen either for many reasons. One of them is that our mind does not die. Now what?
A yoga practice starts in the mind; this is where we need to develop our flexibility and balance. This is where we need to learn to listen; just listen without drawing any conclusions. A lack of listening generates diseases and prevents us from feeling free.
Let’s commit to our own liberation.
