When attraction arises, (toward a person, an idea, or an experience), pause and turn inward. Ask:
“Is this movement coming from ego, or from the heart?”
Attraction often disguises itself as desire, yet it can quietly pull us away from our center and becomes attachment. The world feeds on attraction; spiritual practice invites us to notice where our awareness is being caught, where energy is leaking outward instead of resting within.
In relationships, attraction can be especially subtle and powerful. Love becomes conditional, and the mind begins to negotiate. Fear, agitation and anxiety will be part of our lives.
There is a sacred distinction between attraction and being touched: Attraction reaches outward to take, being touched allows something to unfold.
Attraction agitates the nervous system; being touched stills it. Attraction tightens the self; being touched softens the heart. From that softness arises reverence, presence, and a love that does not bind, but frees.
