We live in a world shaped by opinions. Often, opinions are reactive, and they may express the unhealed part of us.
Our voice and conviction matter. Yet, when we navigate life solely through opinions, we live in a world of duality full of emotions: right vs. wrong, good vs. bad, me vs. you. This binary mindset limits us. It traps our thinking in reactivity, cutting us off from our ability to discern, reflect, and respond with clarity. If we operate only from emotions, we often contribute to more suffering.
Opinions are not inherently bad. However, they deserve our curiosity. Underneath every opinion is an attachment and beneath it may lie unprocessed pain, often tangled with anger, fear, or shame.
The answer is not to deny our opinions or pretend we are neutral. The spiritual path is not about numbing out the highs and lows. It’s about staying curious. By doing so, we become more aware of our humanity, our biases, wounds, fears and hopes.
When we cling too tightly to opinions, our thinking becomes rigid. Let our opinions be and invitation to feel, heal, and grow.
